Handwoven cushion covers
Our pillowcases are hand-woven and made of 100% cotton. Small irregularities in the weave structure are part of the product. Each product is therefore unique. So that you also have long pleasure, we recommend the cover as hand wash or machine wash on gentle cycle.
Baskets & Products made of elephant grass
Our basketry is made of elephant grass and is carefully hand woven.
If your product is slightly deformed during shipping, don’t worry. It can easily be brought back into shape. Here’s how:
- Spray your product (except the handle) generously with cold or lukewarm water. Alternatively, you can soak the product in a tub or bath of water. Make sure that both the outside and the inside are wet.
- Let the product sit for some minutes so the grass can absorb the moisture and become pliable.
- Place the product on a table or on the floor and start shaping from the inside. You can push, pull, stretch – don’t worry about it breaking. Elephant grass products are strong and can take a beating. Take your time and keep shaping until you are happy with the shape.
- Then dry the product outside in the sun or inside in a warm, dry place.
Maintain your product by fully immersing it in water once or twice a year to hydrate the elephant grass and tighten the fabric. Avoid exposing your product to direct sunlight for long periods of time, as this can cause the colors to fade. But also keep it away from prolonged wetness and excessive humidity to avoid color changes and mold growth.
